Pharr, TX – With her loving family by her side, Yvonne June Kempfer, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, October 29, 2015 at her daughter's residence in San Antonio, TX.She was born in McNaughton, WI, June 8, 1935, daughter of the late Charles and Veronica (Nee: Yszara) Johnson. Survivors include her children, Evelyn (Max) Woller of Racine, WI, Brenda Kempfer of Suring, WI, Marvin Kempfer of Lake Worth, FL, and Dawn (Armando) Hernandez of San Antonio, TX; her six grandchildren, Paul (Sandra) Woller, Carisa (Tony) Woller Hubli and Kyle Woller, Bobbie McDonald and Mandy (Ryan) McDonald Pelkey, and Jeremiah Hernandez; her brother Charles Johnson, her sisters Charlene (Earl) Krupp, Roxanne Schneider, Wanda (Doug) Stockli and Vernay (Mike) Mueller; her domestic partner, Eugene Metten; her other relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Calvin, Wayne and James and her son James Kempfer.Yvonne enjoyed visiting and socializing with friends and loved ones. She took great care in color coordinating her outfits with matching accessories and created Swarovski crystal earrings so she could having earrings in a variety of colors. She enjoyed crafting and singing. Karaoke was her passion and she enjoyed singing at home as well as at the community center at the Tip O' Texas Retirement Park where she helped set up and run karaoke nights during the summers. She is greatly loved and will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the family and friends for the kind words and phone calls that lifted Yvonne's spirits and gave encouragement to the family.Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, November 6 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A chapel service officiated by her niece, Dr. Nancy Schneider will be held at 11:00 am at West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Ave, Racine WI 53406.
