Racine – Woodrow M. 'Woody' Stritesky, 93, passed away at Ridgewood Healthcare Center on Friday, January 27, 2012. Woody was born in Racine on April 16, 1918 to Frank and Fanny (Zerzanek) Stritesky. He married the former Alice B. Osten in Racine on February 18, 1950. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1996. Woody was employed by Gentile Olds for over thirty years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Woody is survived by his son, Frank (LouAnn) Stritesky; and grandchildren, Kayleen and Justin Stritesky. He will be sadly missed by his two couch buddies, Willie and Chloe. Woody is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Glen Stritesky; brothers, Clarence Stritesky and Glen Stritesky; and sisters, Evelyn Hayes, Adeline Johnson and Wilma McDonald. Memorial services for Woody will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 5 p.m. A private inurnment will take place at Bohemian National Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 3 p.m. until the time of the service.
