EGG HARBOR - William D. Woelfel, 84, of Egg Harbor, formerly of Racine, died at his home in Egg Harbor on Sunday, April 16, 2017.He was born October 27, 1932 in Racine, the son of the late William and Ruth S. (Nelson) Woelfel. On June 23, 1956, he married Mary Ann Trolle, living their dream together in Door County. She preceded him in death on January 18, 2004. Bill attended Racine Lutheran High School. He served his country with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. Bill was a master carpenter by trade for over 50 years working with Yandre Homes, Barr Homes, and Korndoerfer Construction. He also had worked for his father at Wm. Woelfel Construction.Survivors include his children, Kim Sheppard, Nancy (David) Willis, Billy (Pauline) Woelfel of New Zealand and John (Gina) Woelfel; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren with one on the way; and one great-great grandchild; sister, Virginia (Mal) Douglas and many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty (Tommy) Thompson and Elaine (Ralph) Cobb.Funeral services for Bill will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial park. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m.Special thanks to Gary and Sue for being great neighbors to dad and going above and beyond.
