William F. Shilling"Bill" RACINE – William F. "Bill" Shilling, 78, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, August 12, 2016.Bill was born to Forrest and Kathleen (nee, Eiselau) Shilling on January 26, 1938 in La Crosse, WI where he attended school and spent his younger years. Later, life would lead him to Racine where he worked for J.I. Case Company as an inspector for over 30 years. It was also at this time that he met and married the love of his life, Beverly Fjelstad. He lovingly cared for Beverly until her passing from Multiple Sclerosis in 2001. Bill loved to visit casinos, flea markets, never turned down a game of cards; really enjoyed cooking but his favorite of all was anytime spent with family, especially his granddaughter, Savannah. Bill is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Steven) Knight, Jean (David) Sparks, Barbara (Eric) Henriksen, Susan (Dennis) Osiecki and Lori (David) Chambers; and his grandchildren, Savannah Knight, Melissa Kilpatrick, Chad (Avery) Chambers and Sydney Chambers. Bill is also survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Beverly, he was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Walter and infant son. A memorial service for Bill will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Blessed be his memory.
