Racine – William K. Mikulecky, 80, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Thursday, June 10, 2010. Bill was born in Racine on April 5, 1930 to Frank and Ruth (nee, Brunson) Mikulecky. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp where he was a Golden Glove's Boxing champion. Bill married the former Gloria A. Weber at St. Edwards Catholic Church on April 11, 1953. She preceded him in death on October 30, 2007. Bill retired from Western Publishing Company and was a member of the Bookbinders Local. Bill was a kind and gentle man who loved his family.Survivors include his children, Terri (Joe) Kiriaki, Dan (Cindy) Mikulecky and John (Patricia) Mikulecky; grandchildren, Kimberly Kiriaki, Gregory Kiriaki, Steven (Sonja) Mikulecky, Kyle Mikulecky, Brian Mikulecky, Janna Mikulecky and Brandon Mikulecky; sisters, Judy (Curt) Meltzer, Francis Spang and brothers, Lloyd (Lillian) Mikulecky and Richard Mikulecky. Bill is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and brother-in-law, Lois Mikulecky and Doris (Don) Seal; and brother, Tom Mikulecky.Funeral services for Bill will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Mullane and the Doctors, nurses and aids at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints and Ridgewood Care Center who helped make this time more comfortable for Bill and his family. The family would also like to thank Bill's many friends at Fritz's for the love and friendship they showed him.
