South Milwaukee – William E. Marinkovich, 83, passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center with his family by his side on Friday, July 9, 2010. Bill was born in West Allis on June 10, 1927 to Martin and Marie (ne, Lorence) Marinkovich. Bill married the former Marion B. Videkovich on June 12, 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII transporting troops in the Pacific. Bill successfully operated South Milwaukee Auto Body & Sales and the Hi Ho the Dario until he retired and moved to Florida in 1981. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marion "Honey" Marinkovich; daughter, Cynthia (Thomas) Neuharth; granddaughters, Stacey (John) Neuharth-Pritchett, Shannon (Michael) Jankowski, Shawn Eckert and fianc Scott Petersen and Kelly (Corey) Benson; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Christopher, Mikey, Brady, Mariah and Collin; brother, George (Dorothy) Marinkovich; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Marinkovich, Beverly Marinkovich and Marion Videkovich; and brothers-in-law, Matt (Helen) Videkovich and Martin Videkovich. Bill is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Zdanowski; parents; mother-in-law, Mamie Ivanec; brothers, Lawrence Marinkovich and Robert Marinkovich; brother-in-law, William Videkovich; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Jim) Cunningham and Doris Videkovich. Services for Bill will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 7 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Aurora St. Luke's Cardiac Research.
