FRANKLIN – William "Billy" Honkonen, 53, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Franklin Hospital on August 25, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. William was born in Milwaukee on November 15, 1962 to Clifford and Gail (Gromacki) Honkonen. He enjoyed fishing and was always willing to help others when needed. William is survived by his parents; siblings, Laura (Eddie), Cheryl (Scott), Hank (Annie) and Gary (Kari); nephews and nieces, Miranda, Marissa, Ryan, Tyler, Joelle (Jason), Dena, Vanessa, Alyssa and Gary; and great nieces, Adalynn and Brielle. He is also survived and will be missed by many other relatives and friends. In keeping with William's wishes cremation has already taken place.
