Racine – Wayne David Liebenow, 68, passed away at Kenosha Estates on Monday, November 25, 2013. Wayne was born in Racine on February 15, 1945 to Theodore and Carol (nee, Holterman) Liebenow. On June 8, 1968 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Wayne married the former Bonita "Bonnie" Rae Kamm. Wayne had worked for many years in the family business, Liebenow's Catering, later the Cop Shop. He was a former member of the Jaycees and enjoyed target shooting as a hobby. Wayne loved to eat, especially his sweets, but most of all he loved his family and was a devoted husband and father. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Liebenow; children, Heather (Dan) Summerford, Wayne D. Liebenow, Jr. and Shannon Liebenow; grandchildren, Savanna, Ashley, Aaron and Logan; and his sister, Faith Kionka. Wayne is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service for Wayne will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, corner of Erie and Kewaunee Streets, on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jack Gilbert officiating. Entombment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday evening from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family.
