RACINE – Warren Walker Sr., 81, passed away at St. Monica's on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016. Warren was born April 25, 1934, in Marrero, La., to Joseph Walker Sr. and Irene (Francis) Walker. He married the former Shirley Edwards on Sept. 23, 1971. Warren served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years. He retired in 1986 at the rank of chief master sergeant, last stationed at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland. In retirement, Warren was an active member of Church on the Rock in Millersville, Md., where he served as an elder for many years. Warren was extremely dedicated to his role within the church. His fellowship with his brothers and sisters within the Church on the Rock family brought him great joy and fulfillment in his walk with the Lord. Survivors include his son, Warren Walker Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, John Francis and Natalie Walker; grandchildren, Norah and Mason Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Alfred and Jesse Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Horace and Ingrid Walker; sister, Mary Walker; and sister-in-law, Loretta Walker. Warren is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Irene Walker; wife, Shirley Walker; daughter, Troylynn Casby; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Joseph Walker Jr. and Doris Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Diane Walker; brother, Wilbert Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie and Olga Walker; and sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Nolan Johnson. Funeral services for Warren will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery with full military honors. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m.
