STURTEVANT – Victor R. Gibson, 71, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Victor was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on October 20, 1944 to James and Margaret (nee, Crawford) Gibson. Victor came to Racine in 1975, he had various jobs but the one he enjoyed most was his own business of roofing and siding, retiring in 2005. Victor is survived by his three children, Kenny, Donna and Kelly Gibson of New Jersey. His brother, James Gibson of Racine; a loving uncle of Alan (Lynette) Gibson of Pittsburg, PA, Lesley Gibson, and Donna LaCoursiere from Racine; his fianc, Marlene Dubiak and her children, Wendy Reesman, Michael (Danielle) Dubiak and Kevin (Amy Kovara) Dubiak. Victor really enjoyed being a grandpa to Jacob, James and Autumn Reesman, Alexis, Brianna and Allison Dubiak, Carter and Olivia Schultz. He is also survived by many dear friends and relatives from here and Ireland. Victor was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Gibson; and a special aunt Muriel Smyth from New Jersey. Victor will be remembered as a very likable person, loved life, strong minded and a very caring person. In keeping with Victor's wishes, cremation has taken place. Please come and celebrate Victor's life with us at a luncheon in his behalf on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Doobies, 3701 Durand Avenue (Elmwood Plaza).
