Racine – Velia Bobadilla, 57, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Froedtert South, Pleasant Prairie.
Velia was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 11, 1968 to the late Francisco and Josefa (nee: Castillo) Gonzalez.
Velia loved traveling and taking spontaneous trips across the country. She enjoyed dancing, singing, drawing, camping, gardening, being outdoors, and listening to country music. Above all, she cherished time spent with family. She was an amazing mother who always had her children’s best interests at heart. Velia was fierce and independent, and will be remembered as a selfless, loving, caring, and free spirit. She will be dearly missed and touched many hearts, even among strangers she had just met. She had a special gift of talking to anyone and making them feel warm, welcomed, and free to be themselves. Her love lives on forever in our hearts.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany C. Bobadilla; her son, Kevin J. Bobadilla; her siblings Olga (Jose) Trujillo, Maria (Raymundo) Cruz, Gilberto (Luz Maria) Gonzalez, Blanca Gonzalez, Jose (Rosalinda) Gonzalez, Edwardo Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez, Everardo Gonzalez, and Virginia Gonzalez; and her fur baby, Oliver.
She is also survived by her first grandson, Emiliano, whom she loved dearly and deeply adored. She was so excited to be a grandma, and though she did not get the chance to meet her grandbaby, Sage, that love had already begun and will forever be carried in our hearts.
Velia is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Velia will be held privately.
