Obituary

Racine – Todd Michael Curran, 59, of Racine, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Ascension All Saints Hospital.

Born in Racine on July 19, 1966, Todd was the son of Floyd and Lynette (née Lowe) Curran. He married the love of his life, Nancy (Ailes) Curran, with whom he shared years of devotion, partnership, and joy.

Todd found deep fulfillment in his work at Gateway Technical College, where he cherished the opportunity to teach, mentor, and share his hands-on expertise with students. He was featured as an "Everyday Hero" by Natalie Shepherd on CBS58, where he spoke about how joining Gateway renewed and strengthened his dedication to the trade. Despite facing a sight disability, Todd's remarkable skill and determination shone through in every project he touched, from the homes he lovingly renovated in Michigan to those he restored in Wisconsin over the past decade. He also worked for many years at Napa Auto Parts.

Music brought Todd great joy. He played in a band alongside his wife Nancy and her brother Ryan, creating treasured memories and lasting friendships through countless performances. Todd also enjoyed fishing and bowling, activities that brought him relaxation, laughter, and camaraderie. Together, Todd and Nancy opened their home and hearts as host parents to exchange students, forging meaningful relationships that continued long after the students returned home.

Todd is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Curran; his parents, Floyd and Lynette Curran; and his stepchildren, Kris (Mayu) Jutzi, Nick (Andrea) Jutzi, and Taylor (Alex Hodgers) Jutzi. He is further survived by his siblings, Christy (Marv) Campbell, Angie Curran, and Joel Curran; his niece and nephew, Lyndsee Campbell and Lukas (Jade) Campbell; grandchildren Vincent, Kane, and Ophelia and great-nieces and great-nephew Janell, Juliana, and JJ; his brothers- and sister-in-law Terry (Lois) Ailes, Randy (Sue) Ailes, Scott (Ruth) Ailes, Toni (Marc) Halverson, Ryan (Kathy) Ailes, and Todd Ailes. He is also remembered with love by extended family, former students, and many dear friends.

Todd will be remembered for his generous spirit, his gift for teaching, his unwavering work ethic, and the warmth he brought to every relationship. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
