Thomas A. Patzman Racine - Thomas A. Patzman, 70, passed into Eternal Life in the ICU at St. Mary's on Thursday, February 28, 2008 with his dear ones at his side. Tom was born in Racine on May 8, 1937 to Benjamin and Alma (Luedtke) Patzman. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a devout Christian. Tom was a Parkinson's patient, before which he was an avid runner and loved to bowl. He had been employed by Racine Hydraulics. Survivors include his sister, Kathleen Patzman; brother, Richard (Georgian) Patzman; nieces and nephews, Nancy (Dan) Eaton, Mary (Steve) Dresen, Kim Staven, Patty (Bart) Bresciano, and Richard Patzman; and dear friends, Bob and Bev Williams. Tom is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and many other close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and special aunt and uncle, Richard and Mary Kautz. Funeral services for Tom will be held at St. John 's Lutheran Church, 1501 Erie Street, on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Daniel B. Quinn officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Tom will lie in state at the church on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Marriott and the nurse's in the ICU at St. Mary's for all of their care and compassion.
