Obituary

Thomas Guy Passehl Lakeland, FL – Thomas G. Passehl, 60, passed away in Lakeland, FL on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Tommy was born in Racine on May 3, 1951 to Gene and Lorraine (nee, Smith) Passehl. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the 3706 Squadron located at the Lakeland Air Force Base from January 28, 1971 – December 13, 1974 and was formerly employed for 20 years in Racine as a cabinet maker with Racine Mill Works. Tommy lived in Racine for most of his life, but after having enough of the winters moved to Florida and had been enjoying life out there for over a decade. He absolutely loved being a brother and had enjoyed the most recent years of his life with his brother Ronnie. He loved every minute of the times they had and felt comfort being able to have Ronnie by his side. Even though he moved away from where his son Jason lived in Racine he missed and loved Jason every minute of every day and there wasn't a day that went by where he didn't think about him. He was still an avid Green Bay Packers fan even though he lived in Florida. Tommy was quite adventurous, laid back and carefree. He loved camping and some of his favorite memories were when he was able to take Jason and the cousins all camping together. He was always laughing and joking around and loved to laugh at his own jokes even if no one else was laughing. He enjoyed listening to the oldies, but goodies and especially enjoyed singing the tune The Battle of New Orleans. He loved to sit around and play the guitar in his younger years. His favorite hobby was to write he loved to write things from random thoughts to poems and quotes or just something he heard from somewhere. He enjoyed watching TV ~his favorite TV show was Matlock and his favorite color was blue. He also enjoyed grilling outside; mostly because he wasn't allowed to cook inside. Tommy was loved very much and will be missed dearly everyday. He is survived by his son, Jason (Nicole) Passehl of Racine, WI; sister, Connie (Brian) Konicek of Las Vegas, NV; brother, Ronald Passehl of Lakeland, FL, sister-in-law, Marsha Passehl of Racine, WI, sister-in-law, Teresa Hollow of Racine, WI and ex wife Barbara Nees of Racine, WI.
