Racine – Thomas B. Edwards, 91, passed away in Woodruff, WI on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Tom was born in Bodgen, ND on July 13, 1922 to Thomas Charles and Grace Florence (nee, Collins) Edwards and moved to Racine in 1946. He served for 3 years in the Medical Department in the U.S. Army during WWII. He then worked at Massey Ferguson, Jacobsen Mfg. and the A.C. Apollo Space Program. In 1978 he went full-time into real estate investments and retired in 2000. Tom was one of the founding members of the Flat Iron Square Businessmen's Association and served as vice president for one term. He sang with the Racine Choral and various church and civic singing groups. Tom attended Grace Church where he was active in the Breakfast Club for Seniors. Tom is survived by his son, Rev. Thomas C. (Linda) Edwards of Sun Prairie, WI; daughter, Alyce (Carlos) Weekes of Minnesota; six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Tom is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joseph; and sisters, Mary, Alice and Leone.The funeral service for Tom will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Thomas C. Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m.
