Terry Ann Pie, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 9, 2026.
Born on June 14, 1954, in Michigan, Terry was the beloved daughter of Bruce and Carolyn (née Hendrickson) Sprecksel. She built a life centered on love, family, and compassion. On January 29, 1975, she married Scott Raymond Pie, her partner in life and love, who preceded her in death on February 6, 2019.
Terry dedicated her career to caring for others as a Med Tech and CNA at Becker Shoop. To those who knew her, caregiving wasn’t just her profession, it was who she was. She had a natural gift for kindness and a quiet strength that brought comfort to those around her, this gift for helping others is now being pursued by her granddaughter Tashiana.
Outside of her work, Terry found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She had a deep love for animals and took pride in raising, showing, and breeding them. When her grandchildren were younger Terry enjoyed sharing her love for nature and wildlife by taking them on hikes and explaining what they encountered. She found peace in her garden, happiness in her kitchen, and fulfillment in creating a warm and welcoming home.
Above all, Terry’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted mother, a loving grandmother (na-na), and a cherished great-grandmother. Her legacy lives on in the lives she nurtured, the love she gave, and the memories she leaves behind.
Terry is lovingly survived by her children, Gene (Meg) Sprecksel and Tanya (Christopher Crosby) Pie; her grandchildren, Devon (Brittany) Sprecksel, Haleigh (Matt) Wimberger, Tashiana Pie, and Leander Sprecksel; and her great-grandchildren, Rainy, Essence, Colbie, Odin, and Croix. She is also survived by her brother, Todd Thorton, as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Daniel Sprecksel.
“Death cannot kill what never dies: Love”. A quote originally scribed by William Penn immortalized on her favorite country singer’s memorial, Patsy Cline.
Private services will be held to honor Terry’s life at a later date.
