Terri Lee Tyryfter, 58, of Racine, formerly of Fargo, North Dakota passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Ascension All Saints Hospital, Racine Wisconsin.
Terri was born in Fargo, North Dakota on March 21, 1964 to Thomas and Mary Collins. As a child she attended elementary school in Christine, North Dakota. The family then moved to Fargo where she attended Ben Franklin and North High School.
Terri was well known for her generosity, soft heart and love of children and animals. She enjoyed making friends with coworkers at every job she ever had. She was a blessing and was a constant source of love and support to her two sons, Christopher and Matthew and her grandchildren Isaac and Jaxon.
Terri married Dave Tyryfter in Fargo on December 31, 2003, and they later relocated to Racine, Wisconsin. As Terri's illness returned and progressed, Dave was her faithful caregiver throughout the remainder of her days.
Terri's cancer returned after a long remission and she and her sisters had been checking things off of her bucket list. A highlight of that time was a trip to Florida.
She is survived by her husband Dave Tyryfter, sons Christopher Lunday of Boone, Iowa, Matthew (Brittany) Lunday of Racine, her step-children; Jason Tyryfter and Heather (Jon) Krump, her grandchildren; Isaac Lunday, Jaxon Lunday, and Dominik Pavlic, her step-grandchildren; Remi Krump, and Briar Krump.
She is further survived by her siblings Deborah Holte of Glenwood, MN, Cindy (Randy) Selstedt of Walcott, North Dakota, Thomas (Laurie) Collins of Brandon, MN, and Timothy (Barb) Collins of Grand Forks, North Dakota, her brother-in-law Dan (Kathleen) Tyryfter, her sister-in-law Kathy (John) Majewski and many nieces and nephews.
Terri was proceeded in death by her parents, Thomas Lyle and Mary Lou Collins.
We will miss her tender heart, special laughter and grace that she exhibited throughout her life. She was truly a special person on this planet. We love you Terri!
A celebration of Terri's life will be held in the spring of 2023.
