RACINE – Takouhi Andekian, 92, passed away at home on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Takouhi was born in Racine on December 27, 1925 to Arsen and Sophie (nee, Salbashian) Andekian. She was a member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church; was a member of the Women's Guild and A.G.B.U. Takouhi retired from J.I Case Company and was a member of the J.I. Case Twenty Year Club. Survivors include her sister and brother, Gloria Martin and Sarkis (Seta) Andekian; brother-in-law, Peter Chobanian. Takouhi is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Elizabeth Oldham, Nazaly Chobanian and Mary Andekian. Funeral services for Takouhi will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Avedis Kalayjian officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church.
