Sylvia Elaine Gregory, 90, entered into the loving arms of Jesus and was reunited with her husband, Gerald, on March 21, 2025. Sylvia was born in Racine on April 6, 1934, to the late Oscar and Myrtle (nee, Litcheheld) Seyferth. On August 20, 1955 she married Gerald, her grade school sweetheart. They were blessed with four children.

Our mom loved the Lord, and was a devoted, nurturing, gentle, and selfless spirit. Our mom took pride in being a room mother, Brownie, Cub, and Girl Scout leader. She baked the best chocolate chip cookies - the neighborhood kids would agree. She tucked us into bed every night with a kiss and a prayer.

She was a grandma that would play endless games, and would cheer the grandkids on at basketball and baseball games. Mom taught us to put God first and to go through life with Jesus by our side.

Sylvia is survived by her children Scott Gregory, Terri (Patrick) Herrera, Cindy (David) Cooke, and daughter-in-law Carol Gregory; grandchildren, Shaun Gilboy, Jessica (Kevin) Petersen, Paul (Allison) Cooke, Mike (Megan) Cooke, Rachel (David) Leffler, Ben (Michelle) Gregory, Megan (Ross) Bray, Brianna (James) Doyle, and Shane Gregory; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald and her son, Mark; her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

A memorial service for Sylvia will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2065 Geneva Street, on Friday, April 4th, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.
