Susan G. Henderson RACINE – Susan G. Henderson, 60, passed away at Froedtert Memorial Hospital on Monday, May 5, 2014 from ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). Sue was born in Racine on August 17, 1953 to Ralph and June (nee, Sondergaard) Voetberg. She was an avid Badger and Packer fan, but most of all Sue loved her grandchildren. Sue enjoyed spending holidays with friends and family, especially Christmas. Sue is survived by her children, Shawn (Wally) Scanlon, Stacy (Jerome) Cannon and Patrick (Alicia) Meshenky; grandchildren, Morgan Scanlon, Ana Cannon, Alex Cannon, Makenzie Scanlon, Wesley Meshenky, Nanea Meshenky and Waysen Meshenky; her father, Ralph Voetberg; sister, Cory Rosen; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Lopez-Staton, Emily Rosen and George Rosen; and Aunt Nettie Jenkins. Sue is also survived by other relatives and special friends Debbie, Jackie, and Marci. She was preceded in death by her mother, June Voetberg; sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Wes Hanson; and her uncle, Buck Jenkins. A funeral service for Sue will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers. memorials may be directed to the family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Nikki Cannon, the staff in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, and to Dr. Ryan Engel and his staff at the Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center for all of their compassionate care provided to Sue.
