Obituary
Racine- Steven J. Smith, 68 passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 after a short illness. Steve was the first-born son of Frank J. Jr. and Mary Ann (nee: Wallers) Smith in Racine, WI.
In his early years he enjoyed waterskiing and tinkering with motors. He was a truck driver and worked in car and appliance repair. He was a proud member of the National Guard for a number of years. He loved his children and grandchildren; they were his pride and joy. He was proud of his kids, their spouses and his grandchildren in everything they did. Steve would go out of his way to help anyone, especially if it were a fix-it problem or someone who needed roadside assistance. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and easily call them a friend.
Steve will be remembered by his children Jesse Smith, Brandon (Kelly) Smith, Kara (Dan) Seiders, Megan Smith, sisters Peggy (Stephen) Gauger, Betty (Mike) Manning and brothers Mike (Mary) Smith, Dave (Cheryl) Smith, grandchildren Austin Seiders, Ashley Seiders, William Smith, Caroline Smith, and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Frank J. and Mary Ann Smith.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
