RACINE – Steven Matson, 60, passed away at home on Monday, June 30, 2014. Steven was born in Peoria, IL on March 27, 1954 to Robert L. and Janice L. (nee, Frandsen) Matson. Steven was an accomplish chef. He worked for various restaurants throughout the country including Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Chef-Barrymore's at Bally's in Las Vegas, the Canyon Ranch and Spa in Tucson, AZ in addition to several others throughout the west. Most recently Steven and his brother Michael ran a successful restaurant and bar in downtown Racine, the Waves Grill and Pub. Steven is survived by his brothers, Michael Matson and Keven Matson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. Steven was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering in Steven's memory will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m.
