Racine - Stanley A. Nicikowski, 83, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Friday, February 8, 2013. Stanley was born in Racine on August 15, 1929 to Stanley and Natalie Nicikowski. He married the former Mildred Elmer, celebrating 54 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on March 12, 2005. Stanley served in the U.S. Army and retired from J.I. Case Company after more than 29 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. Stanley is survived by his children, Stan J. Nicikowski, Joe W. (Susan) Nicikowski and Christine (Rick) DiBlasio; grandchildren, Joe A. Nicikowski, Kevin P. Nicikowski, Jeremiah D. DiBlasio, Stacy Larsen, Stanley Nicikowski, III and Joshua Christianson; 10 great grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; brother, Bernard (Mary) Nicikowski; sister, Regina (Alex) Alexander; and sister-in-law, Sharon Nicikowski. Stanley is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A service of committal followed by Full Military Honors, will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park Chapel on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 9 a.m. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran School.
