SOUTH MILWAUKEE – Sandra Russell, 73, passed away at Willowcrest Care Center on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. Sandy was born in Milwaukee on January 22, 1941 to Samuel and Lorraine (nee, Braasch) Boissonnault. She had been employed by Franciscan Villa for many years. Sandy loved the north woods, spending time camping and jumping in the car and heading out on road trips with no particular destination in mind, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. Sandy is survived by her children, Marlene (Todd) Sandmire, Julie (Rogelio) Gonzalez, Debbie (Rodolfo) Rojas and Gail (Jody) Streeter; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Laverne (Tam) Tamel and Janice (Pat) Gaffney. Sandy is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy Russell; brother, Dennis Boissonnault; sister, Darlene McGinnis; her husband, Doug Russell; and her companion of many years, John Holden. A private family service will be held. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32.
