Sandra L. Miller Racine – Sandra L. Miller, 53, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Sandy was born in Racine on May 22, 1956 to Farrell and Valeria (nee, Mathias) Matterer. She was married to J L Miller II on December 31, 1999. Sandy spent most of her career in bookkeeping and banking, and recently received her CNA certification. She had a passion for gardening. She loved camping and spending time outdoors, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Her kind spirit will be deeply missed. Sandy is survived by her husband, J L Miller, II; daughters, Christine (William) Schultz of Fort Collins, Colorado and Janet (Dan) Radke of Racine; father, Farrell (Evie) Matterer of Racine; grandchildren, William and Nathan Schultz, and Andrew and Alaina Radke; and her brother, Sid Matterer of Seattle, WA. Sandy is also survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Valeria Matterer; brother, Gary Matterer; and former husband, Jeffrey Balcer. Funeral services for Sandy will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. Following the service cremation will take place followed by a private family entombment at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to the family.
