Sandra J. Felton Racine - Sandra J. Felton, 58, passed away at her home on Friday, May 9, 2008. Sandy was born in Manitowoc, WI on November 5, 1949 to Marcus and Virginia (nee, Sauer) Nitz. She married Dennis Felton in Racine on February 20, 1971 celebrating 37 years of marriage. Sandy has been employed by Wal-Mart for the past five years. She was very active in animal rescue organizations. She was a member of A.R.K. and donated to Hope Safe House. Sandy is survived by her husband, Dennis Felton; sons, Scott Felton and Matthew Felton; grandchildren, Tara, Kyra and Zachary Felton; step-mother, Joyce Nitz; step-brother, Gary (Phyllis) Nielsen; sister-in-law, Marlene Felton; and her best friend, Tina Emmerling. Sandy is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Mark Nitz; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Evelyn Felton. Funeral services for Sandy will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hope Safe House. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Mullane and his staff at Oncology alliance and the staff of Hospice Alliance for all of their compassionate care. They would also like to extend their appreciation to Sandy's Wal-Mart family for the time they spent visiting her.
