RACINE – Sally Jean Weaseman, nee, Johnson, 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, October 23, 2014, following a ten year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Sally was born in Racine on September 28, 1954 to Cornel and Virginia (nee, Peterka) Johnson. She was a 1972 graduate of Case High School. On May 18, 1974, she was united in marriage to David A. Weaseman at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Racine. She was employed at Chartwells, Inc. working at Horlick High School and retiring in 2004 due to ill health. Sally enjoyed gardening and farming and she always took care of others before herself. Sally leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of forty years, David; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Thomas Josepowitz; granddaughters, Kayli, Christina, Taylor and Emily; son, Eric; and granddaughter, Ayva. Further survived by her parents, Cornell and Virginia Johnson; brother, Dan (Kathy) Johnson; sister, Susan Jensen; sisters-in-law, Linda (Frank Porter) Weaseman and Janet (Scott) Slaughter; eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Jack Weasman; mother-in-law, Olga R. Johnson; and sister-in-law, Patricia Weaseman. Funeral services for Sally will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Country Haven Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for an Education Fund for Sally's granddaughters.Very special thank you to Vitas Hospice Robin and Katrina and to special friends and cousins Michel and Shirley.
