RACINE – Ryan W. Meekma, 53, passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Ryan was born in Racine on April 18, 1963 to William "Bill" and Betty (nee, Novak) Meekma and was a lifelong Racine resident. He was employed by Dominic Sales and Mitch & Marty's Citgo. Ryan was a member of the German Club and was an avid gardener. He loved fishing, hunting, riding his Harley Davidson and listening to Rock 'n Roll. Survivors include the love of his life for the past nineteen years, his wife, Deanna Guarascio; daughter, Katlyn Meekma and her fianc' Dan Brosnan; grandson, Cameron Brosnan; his brother, Gary (Sharon) Meekma; sister, Lori (Lee) Musurlian; his uncle, Richard Meekma Jr. Ryan is further survived by his nieces and nephews, Kyle Meekma, Conner Musurlian, Trevor Meekma, Nina Musurlian and Morgan Meekma; lifelong friends, Mitchell and Carolyn Wemmert and co-worker, Kenny Rohan; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Ann and Leo Novak. A memorial gathering for Ryan will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
