Ruth E. Rieser(nee: Johnson)Racine- Ruth E. Rieser, 88, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.Ruth was born in Racine on September 11, 1918 to Peter and Emma (nee: Wohlust) Johnson. She married William R. Rieser on July 10, 1937 in Crowne Point, IN. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Ruth enjoyed traveling and loved to cook. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her loving husband, William R. Rieser; children, William Rieser, III of Boise, ID, Larry (Sharyl) Rieser of Temecula, CA, Bonnie (Calvin) Rossmann, Linda Rieser all of Racine, Vicki (Paul) Roeder of Milnor, ND and Randy (Terri) Rieser of Racine; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and son in law, Gerald Treptow. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Jacqueline Treptow and Marcia Mabie; and a granddaughter Kaaren Mabie.Funeral services for Ruth will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Sara VanDeBerg officiating. Entombment will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of St. Luke's Neurological ICU, especially nurses Derek, Dan, and Joshua for their wonderful and compassionate care.
