RACINE – Ruth M. Kratochvil, 99, passed away at Harmony of Racine on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. Ruth was born in Racine on March 14, 1916 to Henry and Barbara (nee, Ruetz) Stratman. On October 9, 1937 at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ruth married Frank Kratochvil. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1999. Ruth was Manager of Community Travel. She enjoyed golfing and bowling in her Senior Citizens Leagues. Ruth was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish. Survivors include her son, Jeffrey (Donna) Kratochvil; grandchildren, Wendy (Ronald) Braun, Kai Kamakian, Joshua (Theresa) Kratochvil, Justin (Amy) Kratochvil, Tracy Reese and Anne (John) Walbrun; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Kathleen Schroeder and Barbara Riegelman; three sisters; and four brothers. A Mass of Christian burial for Ruth will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 6400 Spring Street, on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:30 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Season's Hospice for their excellent care.
