Racine – Ruth J. (nee, Jakobi) Koehler, 86, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Monday, April 1, 2013. Ruth was born in Milwaukee on February 27, 1927 to Julius and Hilda (nee, Drews) Jakobi. On January 6, 1951 she married Edmund Koehler. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2001. Ruth graduated from Pulaski High School in Milwaukee and had been employed by Mamco, Inc. Ruth was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Jacquelyn Koehler and Denise (Rick) Doerflinger; grandchildren, Gretchen Doerflinger and Ian Doerflinger; and her sister, Lois Burbey. Ruth is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Ruth will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 3 p.m. with Pastor John Roekle officiating. A private family entombment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
