Ruth E. Hueffner Racine - Ruth E. Hueffner, nee Schilder, 84, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Saturday, June 9, 2007. Ruth was born in Germany on June 26, 1922 to Max and Martha Schilder. She married George S. Hueffner in Racine on July 3, 1965. Ruth, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, was an energetic, caring, generous person who loved helping others. She loved baking for her family and also her friends at the Parkview. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her husband, George S. Hueffner; children, Richard (Ronnie) Buck and Deborah (Rudy) Nilo; grandchildren, Richard Buck, Kevin (Melinda) Buck, Louie (Megan) Buck, Michael (Frieda) Jacobs and Christine (Jason) Garcia; great grandchildren, Tiana, Tanner, Mackenzie and Kelsey Jacobs, Jacob Garcia; Amy, Megan, Ryan, Brandon and Shawn Buck; and Dylan and Loren Buck; brothers and sisters, Vernon (Phyllis) Schilder, Evelyn (Stanley) Drenski, Herb (Jean) Schilder and Dorothy (Joe) Simko; and sister-in-law, Bernice Slaasted. Ruth is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Buck; and daughter, Denise Buck. Funeral services for Ruth will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Jennings officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
