Ruben A. RodriguezRACINE- Ruben A. Rodriguez, 86, passed away at his residence on December 24, 2017.Ruben was born in San Antonio, TX on October 23, 1931 to Blas and Trinidad Rodriguez. He served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In October Ruben took part in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. He retired from Chrysler and then worked for Wisconsin Industrial and as a paper carrier for the Racine Journal Times.Ruben is survived by his children, Diana (John) Lakatos, Rita (Mike) Bentley, Robert (Leticia Granados) Rodriguez, Starlet Makela, Jeremy Jacobsen and Jamie Jacobson, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters Consuelo "Chelo" (Libardo) Garcia and Maria "Cookie" Torres, brother David Rodriguez and best friend Debbie Jacobsen Rodriguez. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, son in law Michael Makela and brothers Roger, Victor, Blas, Jr. and Ernest.Funeral Services for Ruben will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
