Obituary
He was born in Racine on October 14, 1946 to the late Harold A. and Dorothy A. (nee: Bones) Hansen.
In 1970 he married Penny L. Taft. They shared 49 years of marriage when Penny passed on February 4, 2019.
Roy spent many years traveling the world designing, building and running mineral processing equipment for Allis Chalmers mining division.
Throughout his lifetime, Roy enjoyed restoring classic cars, especially his 1930 Ford Model A. He raced stock cars for many years at Wilmot and Waukegan speedways. He also enjoyed spending many years with his previously wild mustang named "Cody" who was captured from Nevada and Amy's horses whom he affectionately called his "grandkids".
Roy is survived by his loving daughter Amy B. Hansen.
Funeral services for Roy will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park CHAPEL, 9000 Washington Avenue, Racine. Roy will be laid to rest alongside his wife Penny.
