Racine – Rose Recupero Borel, 95, passed away at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Sunday, February 9, 2011. Rose was born in Racine on August 19, 1915. She married Fred Borel in 1947. He preceded her in death. Rose is survived by her brother, Santo Recupero; and sisters, Jane Krumberger, Fran Gilchrist and Mary Recupero. Rose is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Borel; and other family members, Sam and Ann Mortellaro and their son Jim, Tony and Eleanor Recupero and their daughter Vickie Recupero, Russell and Rose Recupero, Milo Gilchirst, Gary Gilchrist and Bill Krumberger. A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, corner of Erie and St. Patrick Streets, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
