Obituary
Ronnie Tyrone Robinson,79, passed away at Ascension Spring Street on Saturday, June 28. 2025.
Ronnie was born on May 18, 1946 to Mary Robinson and Lafayette Jefferson. He was a lifelong resident of Racine. Ronnie graduated from Wm. Horlick High School in 1965, where he excelled in sports, especially basketball and baseball. He was also a veteran serving in the Army from 1966-1968. Ronnie was united in marriage to Margaret "Peggy" Nelson on September 29, 1973 at St. Paul Baptist Church in Racine. He attended Gateway Technical College and graduated with an associate degree in marketing. Ronnie was employed in the Personnel department at Jacobsen/Textron Manufacturing for 15 years and Management Recruiters (Point One Recruiting) for 15 years until his retirement. Ronnie enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his friends, but his true calling in life was coaching soccer for over 40 years in the Racine community.
Ronnie will be dearly missed by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Robinson, son William "Bill" Robinson, his three sisters Claudette (Lester) Shackelford of Ingelwood, CA, Diana Dearring of Long Beach, CA and Linda Jefferson of Inglewood, and best friend Gregg Anderle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private memorial service for Ronnie will be held at a later date.
