Racine – Ronald D. Stacy 73, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Friday, February 22, 2013. Ron was born in Michigan on December 20, 1939 to Roy and Jessie Mae (nee, Davis) Stacy. He was employed as a Computer Systems Analyst for Western Publishing Company. Earlier in life, during his employment at AMC, he saw an opportunity in learning and becoming involved with computers before they were common place. He took up the challenges of setting aside his auto mechanic wrenches to commute to IBM in Chicago, (the primary training facility in the early stages of computer development.) He was driven by a strong interest and work ethic which led to several promotions leading to a top position at Western's IT Department. After Western, he also used his great skills and talent during his employments at Diamond Transportation and Massey Ferguson. As time passed he would joke how it took an entire building to perform the task we now take for granted on a single laptop. Later in life Ron met with physical challenge that he was not able to overcome as he did with his career challenges. We pray for peace and that God be with you in your eternal life. Survivors include his children, Jeff (Tracy) Stacy, Vicki (Chuck) Boles and Lisa (Pat Pyne) Stacy; grandchildren, Joshua Stacy, Zachariah (Sabrina) Stacy, Jacob Stacy, Ashley (Adam) Molbeck, Soren Nelson, Neveah Pyne, Niya Pyne and Patrick Pyne, Jr.; great-grandson, Riley Molbeck; and his sister, Wanda Wheeler and brother, Dennis (Cindy) Stacy. Ron is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial will be held for family members only. Friends of Ron are invited to attend a memorial visitation which will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 07, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
