RACINE – Roger R. "Whitey" Lebon, 91. Gone fishing on April 18, 2017. Born in Pana, IL, February 5, 1926 to Walter and Susan (nee, Kacir) Lebon. Served in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the South Pacific. After the war, he moved to Racine where he married his beloved wife, Margaret Torosian on April 10, 1948 at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church. He worked for Tomarows Construction Company on the tunnels throughout Milwaukee. He owned two gas stations: Sinclair on Hwy 31 and 32, and the Shell station on Lathrop and Washington Avenue's. He also worked for J.I. Case Company before retiring and moving to Pickerel Lake, WI. He was an avid fisherman and was everyone's "go to guy" for everything that needed fixing. Whitey is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; daughter, Jeanette (James) Lipari; son, Patrick (Patricia) Lebon; daughter-in-law, Gwen (DeChek) Lebon; grandchildren, Desiree, Shane, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Demari, Isyss and Carmine; sister, Susan Head; brother, Ferdinan (Lois) Lebon of Pana, IL; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sophie (Torosian) Mason, Rose (Torosian) Ward, Nora (Ron) Soens, George (Laura) Torosian and Alice (Richard) O'Brien. Whitey is also survived by many many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Eugene C. Lebon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward (Norma) Lebon, Paul (Millie) Lebon; sisters-in-law, Elsie (Ben) Halbur, Lucy (George) DeGroot; his parents, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Whitey will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic church on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Avedis Kalayjian officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, he requested donations to the American Cancer Society.
