Racine – Roger A. Arildsen, 79, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 15, 2010. Roger was born in Wadena, MN on September 7, 1930 to Harold J. and Vera (nee, Stephenson) Arildsen. Roger served as Captain of the Detroit Lakes, MN Police Department for ten years. He was also an electrician for over 25 years. Roger is survived by his children, Kathy Hodge of South Carolina, Debra Green of North Carolina, Karen Fiala of Georgia and Roger H. Arildsen of California; grandchildren, Austin Hodge, Vanessa Beaty, Zabrena Beaty and Gina Arildsen; and sisters, Leona (Gail) Johnson and Joyce (Morris) Flanigan. Roger is also survived by Shirley Woten, other relatives and lots of friends. Memorial services for Roger will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 7 p.m. with Chaplain John Mundt officiating. Inurnment will take place in Sebeka, MN. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of services.
