RACINE – Rodney J. Meyer, age 61, died peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Rodney was born in Reedsburg, WI on June 12, 1954. He graduated from Reedsburg High School. He enjoyed fishing, masonry, carpentry, gardening and his cats. He was also an avid reader with thirst for knowledge and loved learning about, and researching, many varied topics. Survivors include his son, Randall (Tamika) Norling of Wonewoc, WI; grandchildren, Jordan and Tyler; siblings, David of Watertown, WI, Wanda (Bill) Brethorst of Racine, WI, Jerry of Baraboo, WI, Don (Brenda) of Fargo, ND, Judy of Madison, WI, Linda (Evan) Meyer of Reedsburg, WI, Roberta (David) Kairis of St. Paul, MN, Craig (Deb) Meyer of Baraboo, WI and Sue Gregerson of Baraboo, WI. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many caring friends. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Meyer. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Memory of Rodney may be sent to the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus.
