RACINE – Surrounded by family, Robert Otto Wittke, Sr., 80, passed away peacefully at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was born in Racine on May 25, 1935 to Fred and Ottillia (Nee, Jansta) Wittke. Bob was a graduate of William Horlick High School, Class of 1953 where he was a proud member of the conference champion basketball team and voted Most Valuable Player. After graduation he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955. On August 25, 1956, at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church in Milwaukee, Bob married the love of his life, the former Margaret Jankowski. Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips to the casino, and was an avid sports fan. He also spent many breakfasts reminiscing about the old days with his class of 1953 buddies: Ralph, Lee, Don, Chuck, and Jim. Above all, Bob cherished time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
