Caledonia- Robert L. Westerback, 89 passed away at his residence on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Robert was born in Racine on August 4, 1934 to Arnold and Catherine (nee: Wiechers) Westerback. He married Nancy L. Fox on June 12, 1956. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1957.
He was employed as a lithographer at Western Publishing Company until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and golfing with his son Jeff.
Robert doted on his grandchildren Kassondra and Kody. His great-grandson Zachariah held a special place in his heart.
Robert was a caring and generous person. He was known for bestowing his words of wisdom on his family and friends; "Papa Says!", "Choose your friends wisely!", "You learn something new everyday!", "Nobody can take away your education!", "Slow down, it isn't a race!", and "Take breaks!" are just to mention a few.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Westerback, his children Sharon (Kurt) Thoreson and Jeff Westerback; his grandchildren Kassondra and Kody Thoreson; his great-grandson Zachariah and his sister Kathleen (Marvin) Williams.
Robert was preceded in death by his brother Arnold and sister Patsy (Richard) Boranian.
In accordance with Robert's wishes no services will be held. He would like family and friends to remember all the good times they had together throughout the years.
Sharon and Jeff would like to thank Pat and Leslie DeFaut; we know our dad valued your friendship, kindness and medical assistance.
Sharon would also like to extend a special thank you to Ann Floch for the care shown to Robert and the emotional support given to Sharon during the past six years.
