Obituary
Robert H. “Bob” Rice, 80, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center-Mount Pleasant with family at his side.
Bob was born on January 6, 1946, in Racine to Fred and Margaret (nee: Pergande) Rice. He graduated from Wm. Horlick High School, and his employment included working at Massey Ferguson, Lenin and Hedley Home Care.
In 1992 Bob married Mary Oberdorfer. They were best friends with the deepest respect for each other. Bob especially cherished the precious times with his son Matt as he was growing up. He had numerous interests and will always be remembered as a good man.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary, son Matt (Penelope) Rice, brother Don (Nancy) Rice, brothers in law Jim Oberdorfer, Jon (Michelle) Oberdorfer, Jerry Oberdorfer, Jeff Oberdorfer and Joe (Terry) Oberdorfer. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer, parents and in laws.
Private family services for Bob will be held.
The family would like to thank all of the medical staff involved in Bob’s care.
