Racine – Robert L. Jensen, 81, passed away at his residence on October 16, 2017. Bob was born in Kenosha on January 28, 1936 to Leslie and Hazel (nee, Carlsen) Jensen. He married the former Nancy Westenberg and have been married for 56 years. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a Lieutenant with the Racine County Sheriff Department for over 26 years, retiring in 1989. Bob attended the Adult Lifelong Learning at UW-Parkside. He served on several boards, including the Kenosha Archeological Society, the Friends of the Library at UW-Parkside and Friends of the Museum in Kenosha. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Jensen; children, Robert W. Jensen, Kristine A. Spiess and Keith A. (Katherine) Jensen; grandson, Joseph R. Spiess; sister, Bette Morton; and his brother, James A. (Donna) Jensen. Bob is also survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Thomas Spiess. A memorial gathering will be held for Robert at a later date. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church have been suggested.
