RACINE – Robert Akulian, 78, passed away at Froedtert Hospital on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Bob was born in Racine on May 15, 1941 to Artin and Elizabeth (nee, Keuroglanian) Akulian. Bob was a Lithographer for Royal Publishing. He was a lifelong member of St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church where he served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Knights of Vartan and the A.C.Y.O.A. Bob had been a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagle's Club, Lion's Club and a longtime member of the YMCA. Survivors include his sisters, Lucy Alloian, Janet Akulian and Alice Akulian; and his nephews, Timothy (Carol) Alloian, Jeffrey Alloian and Gregory Alloian; great niece, Ani and great nephew, Michael. Bob is also survived by cousins, Dan (Marjorie) Korakian, Diane (Pat) Hinze and Jody (Jeff) Smith; Jean Claude, Christian, Thiery; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother-in-law, Michael Alloian; and his uncles, Avedis Keuroglanian, George (Eleanor) Korakian, Jack Korakian. Funeral services for Bob will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. A visitation for Bob will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening, September 13, 2019 from 4:00 until 7 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. A visitation will also be held at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church have been suggested.
