Richard KrenzkeRacine- Richard Krenzke, 88, passed away at Franciscan Villa on Friday, April 25, 2008.Richard was born in Racine on April 29, 1919 to William and Martha (nee: Bartz) Krenzke. He was baptized in 1919 and confirmed in that faith on May 30, 1933. Richard graduated from Horlick High School on January 28, 1938. He enlisted in the United States Army serving in Papua, East Indies in the 135th Medical Regiment . Richard attained the rank of Sergeant. Upon his discharge he attended a technical college for two years. He married Alice M. Hahn on June 14, 1947. She preceded him in death on January 27, 2008. Richard began his career at Webster Electric as a draftsman and retiring as a Record Supervisor after 35 years of service. He attended St. John's Lutheran Church where he served as an officer of the church and was a member of the Young Men's Club.Richard is survived by his children, Christian (Lois) Krenzke and Susan (Dr. Patrick) Krzyzewski; and grandchildren, Kate Krenzke, Christine, Sean, and Mary Krzyzewski. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.A memorial service for Richard will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 2, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Inurnment will take place in Mound Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church have been suggested
