RACINE – Richard "Dick" W. Iselin, 85, was called to eternal life on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. Dick was born in Racine on September 23, 1931 to Willard J. and Georgia Iselin. After graduating from Horlick High School in 1949, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving four years during the Korean War as a radio operator, stationed in Greenland for a year. In celebration of his military service, he was selected to participate in the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight on September 17, 2016. On August 1, 1953, Dick married the former Marilyn Leuker, having shared 63 years with the love of his life. Dick was employed for over 37 years by Wisconsin Natural Gas Company, retiring as their Assistant Secretary/Treasurer in 1991. He was an active member of St. Mary's by the Lake Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan. Dick loved attending Packer games and cheering on all the Wisconsin teams, as well as the Cubs! However, his passion and favorite way of staying fit was riding his bike. As a biking enthusiast, he biked all over the United States. Since retiring, Dick has biked 187,000 miles to date. The longest ride being a west coast to east coast trek. Dick will be dearly missed by all those he has met and shared his life with, particularly his wife, Marilyn Iselin; children, Michael (Kathie) Iselin, Racine, John (Pam) Iselin, Lenexa, Kansas, Steve (Tami) Iselin, Burke, VA and Rick (Dee Dee) Iselin, Rogers AR; grandchildren, Brian (Heather) Iselin, Michael (Jessica) Iselin, Maureen Iselin, Cory Iselin, Cara Iselin, Ricky Iselin and Jason (Morgan) Kolich; great grandchildren, Becca and Grant Iselin, and Callie Kolich; sister, Loraine Huff; and brother, David Iselin.
