Racine – Richard Joseph Hugier passed away peacefully in his sleep November 6, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara (nee, Mueller); daughter, Lucia Brooks; son George Hugier and his fianc, Robin Wink; grandchildren, Rashaun Brooks and Ayanna Jones; and sister, Nancy Pirog of Chicago. Born and raised in Chicago where he attended Roosevelt University and received his bachelors in Computer Science. Served six dedicated years in the U.S. Army Reserve, Richard was an employee of Case New Holland for over 25 years and most recently consulted at Northwestern Mutual through Stratagem, Inc. of Mequon. Volunteered with RASA and Racine Theatre Guild and most recently volunteered at Wind Point Lighthouse. Richard was known as a punster, loved photography and music, was a big Connie Francis fan, enjoyed being part of fantasy football and loved spending time with his new granddaughter. A Memorial service for Richard will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 4 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Friends of the Wind Point Lighthouse.
