Richard C. "Dick" Bertola, 81, passed away peacefully on Thursda

, July 4, 2024, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
Born in Racine on December 2, 1942, to Guido and Sarah (nee Perino) Bertola. He attended St. John Nepomuk School and graduated from St. Catherine

s High School in 1960. Dick went on to study Industrial Design at Layton School of Art. Dick led a life marked by dedication and service. He served as a medic in the United States Army during the

On September 28, 1974, Dick married Kathleen Keefe, a partnership that lasted over five decades. He was employed with JI Case, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2001.
Dick had a passion for life that extended into his hobbies, which included playing cards, building model cars, and working in his garden. He was interested in cars and attended numerous classic car shows.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Bertola; his children, Michael Bertola and Gina (Michael) Slye; and his cherished granddaughters, Emily and Caitlin Slye. Dick is also survived by his sisters-in-la

Dick was preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Matthew and Lorraine Keefe, his brothers-in-law

A Memorial Service for Dick will be held at the funeral home on Thursda
