Renate D. LeitheiserRacine- Renate D. Leitheiser, 80, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Renate was born in Munich, Germany on January 16, 1931. She married John Leitheiser in Racine on January 28, 1954. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2002. Renate worked at Western Publishing for 25 years and retired from Lincoln Lutheran after 15 years. She enjoyed traveling and traveled around the world. Renate was an avid reader and had a love for animals. She is survived by her sons, Wolfgang (Nancy), Raymond, John and Werner Leitheiser and grandson Dustin Leitheiser. Renate is also survived by other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private inurnment will take place.
